About
By reading and analyzing selected chapters of the first six hundred pages of the book (the section of ʿibādāt), this course attempts to decode the early criteria used by the Hanafi school regarding hadith criticism, interpretive tools, the role of Islamic canons, narrators' rankings, praxis and courts, and social history. These criteria became the main foundations of the later genre of usul al-fiqh and has driven, for centuries, many discussions among Hanafi and other Islamic school theorists. *RECORDINGS ONLY*
This is the first course in the Imam Muhammad al-Shaybani Series (IMSS). Recordings shall be available to registered students. Please note that this course has now ended and registration provides you with access to the recordings and resources.
